Look a little closer
A close-up can show a worn edge while leaving the rest of the accessory out of view. Pair it with an overall image so a later reader can locate the detail. Photographs are useful evidence, but framing and lighting influence what they reveal.
A note for your design book
Use a stable item identifier in your filenames and record the date, view and reason for the image. Keep original files alongside any edited presentation copy. Avoid claiming that a photograph proves an absence of hidden damage or establishes authenticity. A clear set of views supports a condition discussion when its limits and object context remain visible.
